So many cute,lovely, adorable shih tzu. If you own a shih tzu, you will know how lovely they are.

Shih tzu is an alert little dog. They are happy, endowed with different types of character. But they are gentle, loyal dogs. They are friendly and responds well to consistent training. They can be very alert watch dog, courageous and smart. Playful and lively. Very affectionate little pup. Love to be around human.

They can grow up to 11inches which is 28cm and weight 9 to 16 pounds (5kg)

Should you plan to neutered them, do it after they are 1 year old. At this time, they will not put on weight so much.

So meet Niki

Niki is my unusual one.  My husband says she is not a dog.  Her eyes are amazing.  She is 3 and a half.  The youngest of the Pack.  She hurt her back a few months ago so she is not doing to many stunts these days.  She need a pillow or she uses the pet stairs to get up on the couch.  I have pillow placed around to make it easier for her to join us on the couch or the bed.  That helps her get up.

When it is cookie time and I am giving out Daddy’s cookies it is too funny. She always cuts the line.  Everyone will line up and stay in there place but not her.  As soon as she get her cookie she goes to the front of the line again. I will post that video soon.

I really should have named her Roxie.  She has this thing with me in the morning when I am in the bathroom getting dresses, I leave the side door open and she runs out and brings me a rock.  When she first started doing that, for me to get her to drop the rock I offered her a treat.  So now she brings me a rock for a treat.  I told you dogs are amazing!!!

These are two different puppies but both are a mix of shih tzu and pomeranian. When 2 different breeds are mix, they always turn out prettier and their coat is soft like cotton. They also posses a gentle loving character. It is easy to train them, groom them and they learn and remember easily. These two cute little puppies are a very good example.

I remember one morning, mummy woke me up before the sky was bright. I was still just a 6 mths
old puppy. So, sleep is a real joy to me.

Mummy carried me into the car and I continued to sleep. The sky eventually became bright then
the car stopped and mummy carried me down.  I was beginning to feel hungry but mummy dont
seem to want to feed me food nor water. After a while , I was given to a stranger and my mummy
became smaller and smaller and then I could not see her. At one time, I remember clearly I saw
mummy’s eyes was red and teary.

The next thing I know was, I could not move. Whenever I make a slight movement my belly hurts.
Ouch !!! what’s that at my belly. And I cannot turn my head to look at it. This plastic around my neck is
so irritating. Controls my head movement. Then I saw mummy again. I was so happy and hungry
but I could not get up.

Later I found out I was sent to be neutered. No wonder mummy was in tears. She was worried about
my surgery. This is a video of me after my surgery.

I have always wanted to own a puppy since I was 5 years old. Due to my family background, upbringing, living surroundings therefore I cannot own a puppy. Life goes on without a puppy till I am now a mother to a 17 year old teenage boy. With my busy schedule with work, sending kids to and from school, owning a puppy was not a priority.

As my son grew into teenage life, he changes. He began to isolate himself. Confined in his room, we only get to see him during dinner time. We dont communicate as well as we used to when he was a kid. One day, I saw some very depressing letter from him to a girl. Then I realised it is time for me to take action.Communication is lacking here. I know he is a pet lover and owning a puppy is one of his dream too.

We made a plan. We had a family dinner outside and I choosed a place where there is a dog breeder nearby. After dinner, we went over to the dog breeder’s home which is what we normally will do. But of course this time is with an intention of adopting one puppy without my son’s knowledge. There were so many puppies and dogs. Some were in their cage and some were moving around the playground area. As we were walking, admiring some of the cute dogs suddenly, we spoted a cute little black and white shih tzu trying to get up from its lying position. We immediately look around for the person in charge and enquired whether this little puppy is available for adoption and she said yes but this puppy is having some health problem. We checked the problem with the vet’s doctor and found out that it is not a serious problem.

With a surgery done, this puppy will be in perfect health. I then discussed adopting this puppy with my son. We talked about the extra time we have to spend on this puppy on training, feeding, caring etc and concluded that we will and have the extra time for this new addition to the family. Finally, our dream  come true, we have and we own a puppy. When we were in the car with our new puppy, our topic was just about the puppy all the way home.

We didnt have difficulty naming our puppy because from the first look, she reminds us of the Chewbacca from the movie Star Wars But for short we just call her Chewie.

Ever since the day we brought Chewie home, my son spend his time outside of his room. My son is back. We could talk almost about any topic like good old days. We joke, we laugh at every little things Chewie does. We surfed the net about how to train Chewie on dog obedience such as dog potty training, sit pretty, down, paw, roll over, kiss kiss and many more. Chewie is a very clever puppy. She learn and she remembers all that we taught her.
