Cleaning Dog Ears

Dogs with pendulant ears such as shih tzus, socker spaniels as well as dogs with hair growing from the inside of their ear. Infections of the ear can be cause by many things around the dog. One of the most common and easiest cause of the infection is when you bath your dog, water gets into their ear easily. The liquid that stays inside the ear will get sticky, dark coloured and will create a bad odor for your dog. Dog ear care is essential. Especially when you have bathed your dog, use a soft fabric towel and clean the inner ear. You dont have to clean your dog’s ear daily because this will remove the natural wax from your dog’s ear. Whenever you take your dog out socialising, be sure to check for ear mite and fleas. This infection not can cause ear problem it can also cause various skin diseases and eventually lead to blood infection. Look out for the sand, leaves, insects that can stick in their ears as well. These items may carry some bacteria too. For dogs with chronic ear infection should seek the advise of your vet and apply the prescribed medication on your dog. - Use ear powder for dog from pet store.
- Spray powder straight into your dog ear
- When your dog’s ear is dry,use a tweezer to remove the exta hair from the external ear
- Use a moist muslin cloth to remove extra wax in your dog’s ear
